Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the purpose of Regression/Past Life Therapy? What are its benefits? How does it differ from traditional therapy?
The purpose is to help people discover the reasons for negative, unwanted ongoing occurrences called patterns such as fears or phobias or continual failures in life. Those patterns either started during the childhood years of a current life or have carried over from a previous life.
The benefits are that by Remembering the event/s that caused the patterns, a person is able to uncover the reasons for them. By Reflecting, a person is able to understand the cause of such patterns. They can then decide to Release them. Remember, Reflect, Release. Those are the three R's of Regression/Past Life Therapy.
It differs from traditional therapy in that it uncovers the source of the problem quickly. It's not long term therapy lasting for years. Minor issues such as fears or phobias, or medical conditions that doctors can not diagnose may be resolved in one to three regressions. More attempts may be required to resolve major issues that affect every aspect of a person's life.
2. I don't believe in reincarnation. So how can Past Life Therapy help me?
You don't believe that the spirit reincarnates because you haven't had an experience yet that has revealed to you anything about your previous lives. Or perhaps you have but you weren't aware that it was a past life issue. Plus, you don't have any conscious recollection of your past lives because in each life you're a different person with a different conscious mind.
It's best to enter into Past Life Therapy with an open mind. It could take longer to uncover the source of problems in your life if your mind is made up that reincarnation of the spirit doesn't occur.
3. How is past life information revealed to me?
It depends on you. Some people are auditory oriented. During a regression they may hear sounds that inform them of past life patterns that have carried over to their present life. Others are more feeling oriented. They are more likely to recognize feelings from a past life that they've carried over into their current life. Some people are visually oriented. They will see things from their past lives such as a person they sense is someone they know in their current life.
4. While doing a regression exercise, how do I recognize present day relationships as those I had in a previous life?
The best way is by the energy coming from a person's eyes. Does their energy during the regression give you the same felling when you're with the person in your current life?
5. I'm afraid to try Past Life Therapy. What if I become locked in a past life and can't return to my present life?
You can not get stuck in a past life because you are not reliving it as you re-examine it. You are only remembering and observing it. During a past life regression you are conscious, in control and very aware of your surroundings. You can come out of a regression anytime you feel unduly stressed.
6. I tried a past life regression before. It seemed as though I was making up everything I saw and heard.
It doesn't matter because whatever you were seeing, hearing or feeling -- even if you think you just made it up -- still came from within your Subconscious Mind. From where else could it have come? You can not imagine something if there is not some basis or connection to it.
Whatever you experience during a regression -- even if you think it's just a fantasy -- look at the perceptions and determine if they're something that pertains to your current life pattern.
7. If during a Past Life Regression I see myself as a famous or infamous person who existed many years ago, does that mean I was that person?
Not necessarily. You can not take all past life information literally. A lot of it is symbolic. If you see yourself as such a person -- or maybe their face appears -- make note of it. After the regression think of what that person's characteristics were -- not just what they are known for -- and determine if those characteristics are similar to yours.
8. What's the purpose of re-examining a death experience from a previous life? Wouldn't it be a traumatic, painful experience?
Not if you go about it the right way. Done correctly it's a learning experience. The purpose is to scan an entire life to see if there is any left over unfinished business or unwanted/negative patterns beyond the first past life information you uncover.
It's not a painful experience if you re-examine it as an observer only without feeling the emotions. You only want to remember them. Observe the experience with a detached view.
9. Is it essential that I remember my name and gender in a past life as well as being aware of the time period and location?
It's O-K if you just want to verify past life information. But it's not necessary if you're trying to resolve unfinished business from a past life. The most important point to the regression is that you uncover the reasons for negative or unwanted patterns that have carried over into your current lifetime. Accomplishing that can cause those patterns to fade away on their own.
10. What is "progression" and what is the purpose of it?
"Progression" is the opposite of "regression". Just as regression therapy gets you to see your past, progression allows you to see your future and helps you see that recurring negative patterns will not occur again. After releasing such patterns following regression therapy, worrying that they might return can cause them to do so.
Don't think you can see your future? Have you ever had a dream that came true or do you know someone who has? The Subconscious Mind was seeing the future.
